About the Presbyterian Coach Network

The Presbyterian Coach Network (PCN) has a threefold purpose: to be a learning community for its members, to maintain a referral web page of qualified Presbyterian coaches, and to to promote coaching within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and invite the responsible use of coaching by providing education and building relationships
Membership includes:
  1. Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEUs) approved by ICF after participating in a learning event (Full Members only)
  2. Coaching contact information available on PCN website
  3. Referrals to organizations and governing bodies seeking coaches
  4. Voting at Annual Meeting

Membership Categories: (A contact list of members’ information is maintained for internal use only and may not be distributed publicly.)
Full Member:
  • Have achieved certification through ICF, BCC, or other recognized group
  • Dues: $50 per year
  • Eligible for all services of the network

Associate Member (preparing for certification):
  • First year of participation FREE; $50/year thereafter
  • Build relationships with active coaches for support and guidance
  • Eligible for all services of the network except referral service

Membership Dues are established by the membership at the annual meeting. Dues are currently $50 per year.
Learning Community: The dispersed community gathers most months for continuing education.
Support: We also gather regularly for conversation and support in our coaching ministries.

The Leadership Team consists of at least 3 members nominated by the current Leadership Team. They are elected for two year terms, may be reelected for a second term and must take a year off before being eligible for another term. The Leadership Team is responsible to:
  • plan continuing education programs
  • arrange for appropriate CCEUs and grant CCEU certificates
  • engage Network participants in designing and developing the promotion of a coaching culture in the PC(USA)
  • receive members and maintain a website directory and internal contact list
  • establish and maintain the website
  • verify members’ eligibility for listing on the referral page
  • receive dues and keep financial records
  • call the annual meeting and report on the previous year, recommend changes in dues, and nominate new members for the Leadership Team
  • conduct all other business that needs to be transacted between meetings of the PCN.
The Annual Meeting ordinarily is held in December at the usual time of gathering by the learning community. Business to be considered by the members includes
  • receiving reports of the Leadership Team
  • establishing dues for the coming year
  • electing members of the Leadership Team
  • discussing further promotion of coaching and the network within the PCUSA
  • gathering ideas for coming educational events
  • any other desired business.
Certification: Those who have achieved at least the ICF credential of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Board Certified Coach (BCC) through The Center for Credentialing and Education are considered certified. Those who have completed an ICF approved course of study may be listed as provisional for up to two years while they work on certification. The Leadership Team verifies credentials and approves applications to be listed on the referral service.
